George Osbourne promises 50,000 Apprenticeship Schemes
Following the 2011 Budget George Osbourne told the commons he would create an extra 50,000 Apprenticeships over the next four years taking the total to 250,000 by 2015.
As part of the £180m investment, the government also pledges to see the number of people on a government funded work programme increase by five times from 20,000 to 100,000 over the next two years.
