Lifetime is recognised as a first class company to work for

In recognition of its 'first class' workplace, Lifetime has just been awarded a star status in the prestigious Sunday Times 'BestCompanies Accreditation Awards'.  Of the 1000+ organisations who applied for the accreditation only a third achieved star status, which highlights Lifetime as an employer who stands out from the crowd.  The scheme follows a 'Michelin star' system with one star for 'first class', two stars for 'outstanding' or three stars for 'extraordinary performance'. 

This recognition is fantastic news, but is made even more pleasing by the fact that the ratings are a result of an independent staff survey where employees of Lifetime were asked to rate their experience of working at the company.

The Sunday Times list of the 100 Best Small Companies to Work For is compiled from the views of employees and the policies of employers. Using a methodology now in its eighth year and designed exclusively for the British workplace, it identifies best practice defined by performance in eight key indicators of workplace engagement, covering staff opinions on their leadership, their manager, immediate colleagues, pay and benefits, wellbeing, the firm's willingness to give something back, people's personal development and overall sense of affiliation with their employers.

This year, the views of 37,597 employees (up almost 10% on last year) across 571 SMEs (up from 565 in 2009) were taken into account, making this the most comprehensive study of workplace opinion in the UK.
