Serving up a cocktail of careers!
Are you aged 16 to 24? Looking for options beyond school and college? If you like the idea of working in hospitality - places such as hotels, restaurants, music venues and theme parks to name but a few - then the Lifetime Hospitality Academy in Birmingham might just hold the answer.
Monday 24 October is the first day of the new Lifetime Hospitality Academy programme. Held at The Paragon, 145 Alcester Street, it will give local young people the skills needed to get a foot into the hospitality industry - tuition fee free!
Lifetime is keen to find the most enthusiastic young people looking to gain qualifications while learning in a real life situation. David Grant, Business Manager at Lifetime says: "The Hospitality Academy programme focuses on giving young people a competitive edge when seeking a job. Plus, once employed, they also have the opportunity to train for industry recognised qualifications. Five days of classroom based skills training take place over a four week period; topics such as food hygiene, health and safety and customer service are explored. Presentations by chefs, housekeepers and receptionists bring the training alive and offer an insight into the range of potential job roles available."
Having successfully completed the classroom-based training, you will then have access to a tutor dedicated to helping you create a career and training plan, giving you the confidence to seek employment. Grant continues: "Our work place mentors will fully support each learner within the Academy and encourage them to complete a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme; here they will have the opportunity to earn an apprentice wage."
With an array of job roles available in the sector, the Lifetime Hospitality Academy is a great place to start your journey into employment. For more information and to apply for a place on the programme, please visit www.lifetimetraining.co.uk/hospitality-academy.
