The Business and Administration level 3 qualifications are
targeted at staff members who are involved in leading an
administration team and undertaking tasks within the work place.
Ideal candidates would be membership administrators, personal
administrators, heads of admin based departments. Candidates
will need to demonstrate competence in areas such as; working,
improving performance and communicating within a business
environment, handling information, supervising teams, driving
meetings and handling customer service problems.
Upon completion of the Business and
Administration programme you will have proven your technical
knowledge and shown performance related evidence that you are
competent to complete administrative tasks to the National
standard.

Framework structure
Learners will need to achieve the following four NVQ
mandatory units:
- 301 Manage own performance in a business environment
- 302 Evaluate and improve own performance in a business
environment
- 303 Work in a business environment
- 304 Communicate in a business environment
And complete four of the following NVQ optional
units:
- 219 Store and retrieve information
- 221 Use office equipment
- 209 Take minutes
- 309 Supervise a team in a business environment
- 322 Plan and organise meetings
- 332 Monitor and solve customer service problems
Funded learners will also complete the
following:
- Key Skill Application of Number Level 2
- Key Skill Communication Level 2
- Key Skill Information and Communication Technology Level 2
- Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business and
Administration
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
Programme Length
Apprenticeships typically take between 6-18 months to
complete.
