This qualification/pathway is aimed at managers who have
responsibility for leading large projects. Developed by industry
specialists, this NVQ will require learners to take a sizeable
project, plan, run and review how successful it is, collecting all
evidence along the way, providing a greater understanding in
management principles and leadership practices.

Framework structure
Candidates will need to achieve the following three NVQ
mandatory units:
- Manage own professional development within an organisation
- Set objectives and provide support for team members
- Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team
And complete two of the following NVQ optional
units:
- Lead and manage meetings
- Plan and manage a project
Funded candidates will also complete the
following:
- Key Skill Application of Number Level 2
- Key Skill Communication Level 2
- Key Skill Information and Communication Technology Level 2
- L3 Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills - 9 Units
(variety of assessment methods)
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
Programme Length
Apprenticeships typically take between 6-18 months to
complete.
