This qualification/pathway is aimed at newer managers who are
currently developing their management skill set. Developed by
industry specialists, this NVQ will provide a learning journey
which will build a foundation of a greater understanding in general
management principles and leadership practice.

Framework structure
Candidates will need to achieve the following three NVQ
mandatory units:
- Manage own professional development within an organisation
- Set objectives and provide support for team members
- Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team
And complete three of the following NVQ optional
units:
- Manage personal development
- Manage risk in own area of responsibility
- Lead and manage meetings
Funded candidates will also complete the
following:
- Key Skill Application of Number Level 2
- Key Skill Communication Level 2
- Key Skill Information and Communication Technology Level 2
- L3 Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills - 7 Units
(variety of assessment methods)
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
Programme Length
Apprenticeships typically take between 6-18 months to
complete.
