Throughout the Leisure Management level 3 programme you will gain all the skills and competencies to work at a managerial level. Whether you work within a gym, sports centre, hotel, holiday park or similar environment this all encompassing programme provides you with the skill set to recruit, select and retain employees and ensure the safety, welfare and security of both your employees and customers. You will also gain a higher understanding of how to improve the customer service levels of your organisation.
Candidates will need to prove their competence in a variety of management situations before embarking on this programme. This qualification is ideal for candidates who already have some managerial experience or who are acting in a managerial or supervisory role.
Candidates will need to achieve the following four NVQ mandatory units:

Provide leadership in your area of responsibility (102) A322
Ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of customers and staff (103) C27
Work with others to improve customer service (104) C33
And complete five of the following NVQ optional units:
Recruit, select and keep colleagues (415) A319
Develop productive working relationships(106) A324
Allocate and monitor the quality and progress of work in your area of responsibility (417) A320
Provide learning opportunities for colleagues (416) A321
Support the efficient use of resources (107) A21
Manage information for action (111) A41
Plan and organise services (112) B229
Funded candidates will also complete the following:
Key Skill Application of Number Level 2
Key Skill Communication Level 2
Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning Level 3
Three valid matrix certificates (e.g. first aid, PPO and Advanced Instructor certificates) or Wider Key Skills Level 3
Apprenticeships typically take between 6-18 months to complete.
It is strongly recommended that candidates wanting to do this qualification should have achieved the Team Leader programme first
