IMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and your bottom line

Get more from your business

Apprenticeship_Employers_BadgeApprenticeships are a great way for you to fund the development of your employees’ skills and ensure they achieve not only their full potential, but gain industry recognised qualifications as well.

With much, if not all, of the training and assessment taking place in the workplace, apprentices learn how your company operates and develop the skills your business needs, meaning they can add more value much earlier.

Apprenticeships and your business

Our Apprenticeship programmes are designed to help you develop your teams to deliver outstanding service to your customers and, as a result, help increase profit for your business. They are also designed to motivate and enthuse your staff, all of which goes towards retaining them for longer.

An Apprenticeship comprises of a Certificate or Diploma (formerly NVQ), a Technical Certificate and Key Skills and is achieved through training and assessment in the workplace. Each learner will receive a visit from their Lifetime Regional Trainer every three to five weeks, with minimal disruption to your business.

The length of an Apprenticeship varies depending on the skill level of the employee, the qualification being obtained and industry sector. On average they take between 6 and 18 months to complete.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme that enables the apprentice to earn a wage whilst gaining the experience and skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. With on-the-job training and assessment, eligible employees‡ will develop the skills and knowledge required for their chosen industry.

The most popular Apprenticeships are:

Apprenticeships (Level 2 – equivalent to five good GCSE passes) are designed for those who are just getting their foot on the career ladder and can take from 6 to 10 months to complete.

Advanced Apprenticeships (Level 3 – equivalent to two A level passes) are designed for those who have either completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship or have the relevant qualifications or experience. Advanced Apprenticeships take employees to a supervisory or technician level of competence and can take from 8 to 18 months to complete.

An Apprenticeship includes:

A Diploma (formerly an NVQ), the competence based element specific to the industry

A Technical Certificate, the knowledge based element

Transferable or Key Skills in communication, ICT and application of number

A module on employment rights and responsibilities

Personal learning and thinking skills

Apprenticeship programmes help your employees reach a high level of competency and performance. They learn on the job, building up industry relevant knowledge and skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Apprenticeship programmes help your business find new talent and train your employees to specifically meet the needs of your business processes and services.
