• The Care Quality Commission's essential Standards of Quality and Safety highlight the importance and value of a strong and comprehensive induction and they need to be assured that all staff have undergone a thorough induction process.

  The eight Common Induction Standards (CIS) covered by this course are designed for people entering social care, and those changing roles or employers within adult social care. We offer a 12-week CIS induction programme that will enable care workers to give high quality care and support. It also provides recognition for their work and prepares them for entry onto NVQ and QCF competence-based qualifications within the health and social care sector.
  
  Each of the standards covered contain a number of areas of knowledge that all care workers need to know before they can work unsupervised. Managers have a duty to ensure that new staff know enough to meet the required outcomes in each knowledge area.
