Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse & Neglect

This course forms part part of the Common Induction Standards (CIS) course which is mandatory for all staff working in the Health & Social Care Sector especially all staff in the voluntary, independent & statutory sectors that work with vulnerable adults. This level is a minimum requirement and is a half day course forming part of the induction of all new staff.
- Understand and apply the Safeguarding standards that underpin all the Safeguarding Adults activity.
- Recognise an adult potentially in need of Safeguarding.
- Know the procedure for making a Safeguarding Adults alert including where and who they should report to.
- Demonstrate Dignity and respect when working with individuals.
- Understand the application of relevant policy and legislation that supports Safeguarding Adults activity.
Gloucestershire's Safeguarding Adults Procedures provide information on how agencies work together to ensure that adults are Safeguarded from abuse.
