What is a higher-level apprenticeship?

A higher apprenticeship is a level 4 qualification and above, equivalent to a Certificate of Higher Education up to a Postgraduate Degree. Lifetime Training offer level 4 and 5 higher apprenticeships, equivalent to a Certificate of Higher Education and Foundation Degree respectively.

A Higher Apprenticeship programme will provide skills, knowledge and behaviours that lead to tangible business improvements. Learners will develop expertise in the fundamentals of management, creating business plans, and team development.

Who funds higher level apprenticeships?

Higher apprenticeships are funded in the same way as any other apprenticeship. Employers can use the apprenticeship levy to fund higher apprenticeships if within the funding band.
