Lifetime Training is launching government funded Traineeships across its active leisure, care and hospitality sectors in order to deliver a larger pool of high quality Apprenticeship candidates for employers to draw on.
Traineeships have been designed to give young people the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge that they need to secure and succeed in an Apprenticeship, and ultimately a job.
Alex Khan, CEO of Lifetime Training, commented: “Based on our own research, we know that employers have a need to find new ways to recruit the next generation of young talent. Traineeships provide candidates with a range of workplace experiences that will lead to employment and progress onto an Apprenticeship. Equally, young people will have the chance to see if that workplace and general way of working is right for them before making a commitment.”
Through a blend of classroom study and a meaningful work placement, Traineeships will help develop work-related knowledge, aptitude and skills and provide the experience that will help a young person progress quickly into an Apprenticeship and paid employment.
Lifetime Training will ensure trainee suitability from the outset.
