Apprenticeship Provider of the Year 2013
Lifetime Training, in partnership with DC Leisure, was awarded the title of Apprenticeship Provider of the Year at the 2013 Active Leisure Awards ceremony last night.
Lifetime Training has grown steadily through its demand-led partnerships with employers and bespoke training provision. The quality and flexibility of this training delivery is reflected in the Company’s learner numbers for the sector, which now stands at more than 3,000.
With more than 350 DC Leisure apprentices achieving qualifications each year, Lifetime Training has now helped more than 1,800 of their team members achieve career and personal success.
Rich Millard, Sports Development Director at DC Leisure, sums up the value of the Lifetime Training Apprenticeship programme: “…the impact of Lifetime Training on our business has been huge. DC Leisure has very low staff turnover rates and in our annual online survey completed by 80% of staff the training offered by Lifetime is always highly commended.
“Our programme regularly has the highest completion rates in the sector… [and] the very low member attrition rates DC Leisure experiences is largely due to the interactive instructor programmes undertaken with Lifetime.”
Clare Hayler, DC Leisure Group HR Manager, added:
“We see the [Lifetime] Trainers as an extension of our DC training team; they have great relationships with our managers and really know our business. The quality of the team member that has been delivered has made a huge difference to our recruitment and training process. All of the apprentices are enthusiastic and totally passionate about working in the industry.”
On winning the award, Michelle Hyatt, Operations Director, Lifetime Training, commented:
“Achieving this award jointly with DC Leisure seems very fitting; not only do we enjoy a great partnership but we have interwoven our teams together to deliver training as virtually a single unit.
“This is a very significant award for us and demonstrates how well we work in partnership with employers across the industry. It’s great to be recognised for our quality of delivery and our ongoing dedication and commitment to both customers and learners. Our aim is to continue to invest in robust training and development programmes that deliver tangible business impact while creating career opportunities for learners.”
