Learner Awards Nominations

Stuart Routledge, 27, works at the Iron Asylum Gym in Cleveland and has been nominated for the Lifetime Learner Achievement Awards 2014.

When he started working at the gym Stuart was in charge of reception but after meeting Lifetime Training Regional Trainer Steve Banks he took his first steps into a fitness career.

Stuart has since completed his Fitness Level 2 and 3 qualifications as well as his Level 3 Leadership & Management which have given him the confidence and technical skills he needed to progress. On completion, he has taken on additional responsibilities including personal training and gym management.

Stuart said: “I feel so much more confident. It has helped me set up group sessions and take 1-1s… This Apprenticeship has helped the gym improve as well as myself.”

“I have put lots of hard work into this but it has all been worth it and I hope I can continue to progress my career thanks to Lifetime.”
