Apprentice Wage Increase

Great news for apprentices! Now you can earn even more while you learn. As of 1st October 2014, the apprentice hourly wage will increase by 5p to £2.73 per hour.

16-17 year olds will see a 7p rise, 18-20 year olds a 10p rise, and adults a 19p rise.

Business Secretary, Vince Cable, said:

"The recommendations I have accepted today (12th March 2014) mean that low paid workers will enjoy the biggest cash increase in their take home pay since 2008. This will benefit over 1 million workers on National Minimum Wage and marks the start of a welcome new phase in minimum wage policy."
