Lifetime is 2015 TES FE Training Provider of the Year
Lifetime Training won the Training Provider of the Year Award at the TES FE Awards on Friday 27th February.
Alex Khan, CEO, Lifetime Training commented:
“This award win is a real step-up for Lifetime. Winning a national award of this stature showcases our continued commitment to both our employers and our learners and recognises the abundance of successes we’ve achieved for them to date.
“We plan to maintain this momentum by strengthening our team, improving our customer resources, and building on our bespoke services.”
In 2013, its Skills Funding Agency contract increased to £32 million, enabling it to deliver thousands of Apprenticeship and Traineeship programmes in partnership with employers. Lifetime Training’s success rate is above the national average, and it has worked with firms such as David Lloyd Leisure, Nuffield Health and Radisson Blu Edwardian Group. The organisation has been rated “good” by Ofsted at four consecutive inspections, two of its apprentices were shortlisted for the National Apprenticeship Service Awards 2014 and it has been a finalist in three other awards.
Lifetime Training has also worked with Greene King to create a range of qualifications and support the brewery in reaching its target of providing 2,000 new apprenticeships. It has set up a series of hospitality academies for hotel chain Hilton Worldwide and developed a specialist programme for pizzaiolo (pizza makers) at Pizza Express.
One client said the organisation was “responsive and innovative and always demonstrates the values of integrity and reliability. The highest compliment we can pay Lifetime is that it is seen by staff and stakeholders as an integral part of our operation.”
The judges felt Lifetime Training had displayed “reach and diversity” in its provision and deserved to be the first winner of this new award. “It has great testimonials and shows what training providers are all about,” they added.
Over 600 of the UK’s most committed further education professionals gathered to celebrate the sector’s achievements at the prestigious awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, on Friday.
Now in their fourth year, the TES FE Awards celebrate the achievements of the wide range of providers working in learning and skills. Hundreds of FE providers submitted entries for the 13 categories to recognise and reward achievement in employer engagement, innovation in teaching, leadership and entrepreneurship.
