Minutes to magnificence
Half term is just around the corner and if there’s one thing mums are short on, it’s time.
Ever aware, Victoria Beckham recently showed us busy mums how to create the ‘London Look’ for Vogue. Taking just five minutes, this uber stylish yummy mummy created ‘spicy’, sexy eyes with eye shadow and liner and teamed them with soft pale pink lips and highlighter for a healthy glow.
But is this possible for us mere mortals? Can time-poor parents find pamper tips to perfect? Our expert tutor team at Lifetime Beauty help us out with this advice.
Take a tip from celebrity mums. They don't forgo makeup altogether, they just know what the essentials are. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian focus on sun protection with a tinted moisturiser. Jennifer Lopez also stays out of the sun using bronzers and self-tanners instead. MONU’s Bronzing Pearls give pale skin a fabulous sun-kissed glow.

When rushed in the morning, skip an elaborate makeup routine to save time. Wash your face and smooth on a beauty balm (BB) cream, which moisturises, protects, and corrects your skin all at once. Follow with a smidgeon of blusher, a dab of tinted lip balm or gloss and a twist of mascara.
Jessica Alba swears by her eyelash curler, and let’s face it luscious lashes are beautiful. Find mascara that lengthens your lashes to make your eyes appear larger.
Multi purpose products are hugely popular and perfect for busy mums. On trend shades in pink create a natural, healthy glow for cheeks and a soft sheen on lips.
Lips may become dry and cracked in the winter months. Be like Gwyneth Paltrow and use lip balm containing beeswax to seal in moisture. Remember to keep a lip-gloss on you at all times. It’s the quickest and the most efficient way to smarten yourself up!
Low maintenance hair is a must! Find a haircut that works with your natural hair texture and that can be 'wash and wear.' A top tip from Blake Lively: for long hair, after showering twist it up in a loose bun and then release when you wake up for perfect soft waves.
If you have a broken nail, instead of ripping use a dab of super glue over the tear, then buff gently with a nail file.
And remember, no matter what comes your way; you always look better with a smile!
