Lifetime Training has officially launched their Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid!
Since the Statutory Framework review in 2017, where First Aid was made a requirement for newly qualified early years staff, Lifetime have been working hard to devise an engaging, relevant and employer friendly First Aid course and we are pleased to now be able to offer this as an OFSTED recognised short course at a cost of £65 (+VAT). The course to date is proving to be a great success in developing the confidence and knowledge of wide range of people; from nursery practitioners, to independent childminders, as well as the general public.
“This was, by far, the most enjoyable and educational First Aid training I’ve been on” Sue Edney, Rainbow Preschool, Bridgwater
The course ensures participants have both the knowledge and practical skills to apply first aid to babies and children including CPR, recovery position, responding to choking, managing major burns and bleeds and also advises on the lifesaving responses to major illness such as Meningitis, Asthma and Febrile Convulsion’s.
The course is currently running as a Blending learning course, requiring completion of a theoretical assessment (completed independently to fit in with busy schedules) and attendance of 8 hours practical training. This blended aspect can fit into already busy diaries and yet ensures those taking part will be skilled in the application of paediatric first aid for 3 years.
Did you know that 59% of people, when faced with an emergency, would not feel confident to try and save a life? Ref: http://www.thefirstaidzone.co.uk/first-aid-facts?doing_wp_cron=1504267916.0377850532531738281250
