Lifetime care apprentices shortlisted for national awards
Health and social care apprentice, Natalie Beckett of Kent SCP, City and County Group and nursery apprentice, Jaryd Evans of Woodland House Nursery have been named finalists for two prestigious care sector awards.
One of Natalie’s service user’s family members commented: “Natalie is extremely compassionate and attentive in her caring. She certainly knows what she’s doing for the elderly and I do believe it is her calling.”
The National Care Awards care apprentice category aims to recognise an individual who excels in their personal and team roles, and exhibits enthusiasm, professionalism, confidence and a shining commitment to their on-going career development. Judging will take place on 29th September, with the awards ceremony taking place on 24th November.
Jaryd’s manager, Emma Base, commented: “Jaryd makes an impact to our setting every single day. In all honesty, he takes our practice to a whole new level and I would dearly love him to stay in early years.”
And these are some of the things the children in his care like about him:
“I like Jaryd because he hides in good places…” and “…he can do magic!”
The Nursery Management Today Nursery Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare. Judging for the Nursery Apprentice Award category will take place on 9th October, with the awards ceremony taking place on 25th November.
