Hospitality apprenticeship success story: Kathryn Jenkins-Smith

Kathryn completed the food and beverage service level 2, and was successful in gaining a manager on duty (MOD) position at the Pizza Express. We then signed her onto the level 3 supervision and leadership qualification, from which she went on to apply for an assistant manager position. She successfully gained the role, and has just completed the company training for it. She is keen on progressing even further in her career, and is taking on new responsibilities as a manager.
Kathryn is a positive influence on her team members both in the kitchen and front of house. She actively motivates the team members to do better, and has been mentoring other staff members who are completing their level 2 qualifications. She supports the team in learning all the skills needed to follow their brand standards appropriately.
With all the training and additional responsibilities Kathryn has taken on, it has been quite a challenging year for her. However she has risen to the occasion, and now looks forward to future challenges and progression.
