We've put together a list of eight questions to consider, when you're considering moving into a role as a fitness professional:

 1: What drives you?
To help you decide if life as a PT is for you, it's worth considering what motivates you. Are you driven by a desire to help others? Do you want to push your fitness to the next level? Do you love working with people, and sharing your skills?  These are just a few of the traits that make you a great fit for a career in fitness - personal trainers generally love to socialise and support others in their fitness journey. If this sounds like you, you could be onto a winner with a career in fitness!

2: Are you passionate?
If you love a challenge, becoming a PT could be just right for you. If pushing yourself to your limit feels good, chances are your passion will help to inspire the same drive in your clients.  Plus, as a personal trainer, you are your own best advertisement of how effective your training is. So if you're in great shape, clients are much more likely to think of you when they're looking for a PT.

3: Do you enjoy flexible working?
Taking on a role as a PT is a great choice if you like to work flexibly. Pick and choose clients according to when you want to work - whether that's bright and early, through the day or in the evening.

4: Fancy going back to school?
As the world of fitness evolves all the time, with new trends and innovations every year, it pays to have a love of learning if you aspire to become a personal trainer. It's essential to gain the necessary degrees in the subjects you're specialising in.  In fact, it's very useful to become qualified in a range of subjects, to give yourself a broad understanding of the industry - from anatomy and physiology to psychology and business.
