Braving the Arctic Circle for Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK
Friend of Lifetime Des Lally is taking part in a 380-mile nonstop self-sufficient foot race into the Arctic Circle to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Help for Heroes.
The 6633 Artic Ultra Race takes place on 27th February 2020 and is regarded as one of the toughest, coldest and windiest ultra-distance foot races on the planet. The race will take Des 380 miles into the Arctic Circle where temperatures can drop to -40 degrees Celsius.
Des is raising money for Cancer Research UK and Help for Heroes, which are also Lifetime’s chosen charities. To help support Des’ incredible challenge, Lifetime has sponsored his extreme weather gear.
Discussing the challenge and his chosen charities, Des said: “It’s about helping those organisations that unconditionally help and to try and ensure they are able to continue to do so. Together we will all make a difference.”
