Individuals who consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication and achievement in their learning journey, going far beyond the standard expectations of their apprenticeship.

Sub categories

There are 7 sub categories for this award, representing each of the skill specialisms that individuals learn with Lifetime. You will be asked to select which sub category you wish to nominate for on the nomination form:

  1. Adult social care
  2. Early years childcare and education
  3. Health and fitness
  4. Hospitality and catering
  5. Retail and logistics
  6. Business services
  7. Data and technology

Key criteria

  1. Learning excellence: Evidence of consistently high performance or exceeding benchmarks in all aspects of their learning.
  2. Proactive learning: demonstrates initiative in seeking out additional learning opportunities, completing extra projects, or mastering skills beyond their core curriculum.
  3. Application of knowledge: successfully applies newly acquired knowledge and skills to practical situations, leading to noticeable improvements or innovations in their work.
  4. Impact on self: clearly articulates how their commitment to learning has personally transformed their capabilities and future aspirations.

Individuals who champions, actively inspires, and encourages others within their workplace or community to engage in learning and development.

Key criteria

  1. Mentorship/support: provides informal or formal support to peers, new apprentices, or colleagues in their learning journeys.
  2. Positive influence: creates a positive learning environment, sharing resources, insights, and motivation.
  3. Advocacy for learning: actively promotes the benefits of apprenticeships and continuous learning within their organisation or network.
  4. Quantifiable impact (where possible): examples of how their encouragement has directly led to others pursuing learning or achieving success.

This award celebrates individuals who have leveraged their apprenticeship to drive significant, positive change within their personal life, business, or wider community. This includes improving environmental sustainability, transforming processes, strengthening community ties, or specifically fostering social mobility and inclusive environments.

Key criteria

  1. Spotting a need: clearly identified a problem or opportunity to improve their workplace, community, or the environment, with a particular focus on removing barriers or creating new opportunities for others.
  2. Taking initiative: proactively drove positive change, showing personal commitment beyond their regular duties, especially in championing fairness and access.
  3. Making it happen: utilised skills gained from their apprenticeship (like communication, problem-solving, or teamwork) to develop and implement a solution that addressed the identified need.
  4. Delivered positive results: clear evidence their actions led to a real and positive outcome, such as saving resources, improving efficiency, strengthening community connections, or most importantly, enabling progression and creating a more equitable environment for individuals from all backgrounds.

Individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary resilience and determination in overcoming significant difficulties, barriers, or adversity during their apprenticeship journey.

Key criteria

  1. Clear adversity: identifies a significant personal or professional challenge (e.g., health issues, financial hardship, learning difficulties, workplace obstacles).
  2. Resilience and determination: shows how they persevered, adapted, and maintained their commitment to their apprenticeship despite the difficulties.
  3. Positive mindset: demonstrates a positive attitude and proactive approach to overcoming obstacles.
  4. Achieved goals: despite adversity, they continued to progress in their learning and achieve their apprenticeship objectives.

Lifetime coaches/trainers who have provided exceptional guidance, support, and mentorship to apprentices, significantly contributing to their development and success.

Key criteria

  1. Effective mentorship: demonstrates a clear commitment to nurturing and developing apprentices.
  2. Tailored support: provides personalised guidance that meets the specific needs of individual apprentices.
  3. Positive impact: evidence of how their coaching has led to improved performance, confidence, and career progression for apprentices.
  4. Accessibility and encouragement: is approachable, provides constructive feedback, and fosters a positive learning environment.

Lifetime colleagues who support the promotion, delivery, and quality assurance of learning. Individuals who go above and beyond to support Lifetime to deliver an exceptional learning experience.

Key criteria

  1. Exceptional support for learning: proactively assists in the smooth and effective delivery of learning programs, offering outstanding support to both learners and colleagues.
  2. Commitment to quality: consistently champion and uphold Lifetime's quality standards, actively contributing to the identification and implementation of improvements in learning.
  3. Above and beyond contribution: regularly exceeds expectations in their role, demonstrating a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to Lifetime's mission.
  4. Positive team influence: enables a collaborative and supportive environment, sharing knowledge and inspiring others through their actions and embodiment of Lifetime's values.

An exemplar of how working collaboratively with Lifetime has developed a workplace development solution that successfully addresses real business challenges.

Key criteria

  1. Strategic alignment: demonstrates how the partnership's solution directly aligns with and solves critical business challenges.
  2. Collaborative approach: evidence of strong, effective collaboration between the partner organisation and Lifetime at all levels.
  3. Measurable impact: provides clear data, case studies, or testimonials showing the tangible, positive impact of the partnership's solution (e.g., ROI, improved retention, skill gaps closed).
  4. Organisation-wide buy-in: shows how the solution is supported and believed in by leadership and employees across the organisation.
