Lifetime becomes a CIPD approved training provider for HR and L&D qualifications

Lifetime is delighted to announce that it is now officially listed as a CIPD approved study centre.

We are able to deliver the new qualifications in HR and L&D accredited in line with the leading professional standards of the CIPD. This recognition comes at a perfect time ahead of Lifetime’s launch of the HR and L&D Apprenticeship standards, which complement the CIPD qualifications.

What is the CIPD?

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the recognised professional body for people professionals in both HR and L&D sectors. The CIPD accredits and awards people qualifications all over the world, is a career partner to more than 160,000 members and has over 20,000 students studying its qualifications each year.

Seen as the gold standard within the industry, the CIPD’s suite of internationally recognised qualifications are equipping the next generation of people professionals with the specialist knowledge and skills required to accelerate their careers.

How did Lifetime become a CIPD approved centre?

To deliver its programmes, the CIPD works closely with a variety of training organisations to ensure every study centre aligns to its high-level qualifications. But to become CIPD approved, centres must go through a rigorous approval process – and crucially, they need to meet the quality standards set by the CIPD.

To show that they would be a good fit for delivering CIPD’s qualifications, Lifetime was scrutinised from all angles. We needed to:

  • Prove how we’d deliver CIPD qualifications
  • Demonstrate how our quality arrangements would be maintained to the highest standards
  • Work closely with the CIPD throughout their thorough approval process
  • Develop detailed business proposals, providing a scheme of work that outlined training plans, to showcase how our quality arrangements would be maintained to the highest standards

This July, we received the green light to say our application had been successful. Sara Morton, Head of Quality at Lifetime, has said:

This certificate combines the knowledge needed in both the HR and Learning and Development sectors. It is both an industry-wide and internationally recognised qualification that incorporates core principles of the CIPD Profession Map, encouraging people professionals to grow and develop in their careers.

CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development

Playing a fundamental part in defining and driving a positive, impactful culture within an organisation, this programme aims to further advance and reinforce the skill set of L&D professionals. Through a comprehensive curriculum, this qualification builds on the core principles of the CIPD’s People Profession Map.

For a commercial fee, Lifetime can offer completion of the CIPD Level 3 Certificate in People Practice and CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development, post-achievement of the associated apprenticeship level in HR or L&D.
