Sports & Cricket coaching in schools, cricket clubs and at private cricket sessions taking 1/1 tuition.
There will also be opportunities to be involved with the admin side of a small coaching business. With some work being project based.
As above, the role will start off with a lot of shadow coaching where you will get to work alongside me and my experienced team, I hope by the end of the course the candidate will be comfortable taking a lead role.
We work in schools, with cricket clubs and in other settings to provide high quality inclusive coaching for children.
My company ethos is that we give opportunities for every child to develop themselves through the power of physical activity.
Desired Skills
This is an apprenticeship programme, designed to help you gain skills and experience ‘on the job.’ We aren’t looking for any previous coaching qualifications or experience but certain personal qualities and characteristics are a must (see below) I am not looking for an elite coach on day one, the main qualities I am looking for are, reliable, honest, hard working and passionate about sport. Successful applicants will be assisting and delivering sport and physical activity sessions in the community. Your sessions may be the highlight of their week- so you will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, energetic and committed!
Personal qualities
You must be enthusiastic about wanting to work within the sport and physical activity sector and be committed to inspiring others to be more physically active.
No prior coaching experience is required, but a willingness to learn, work hard and challenge yourself is essential.
On a personal level I am looking for an individual who is passionate about getting every child active despite ability, and someone who is driven to make a positive change in the quality of children’s physical activity.
Qualifications required
Missed out on getting your Maths and English GCSE’s? Don’t worry- you can still apply but you will need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 before you finish the apprenticeship. Our Learning Coaches can support you with this so don’t let this put you off!
