We are looking for positive individuals who are passionate about working with primary-
aged children and can bring energy and enthusiasm with them every day.

As a lead coach, you will be responsible for ensuring a fun, active, and stimulating safe
place for children to enhance their physical education
You will need to be able to adapt your skills and experience to work inclusively across all
physical education lessons. As well as being able to confidently build and maintain
positive relationships with children, parents, schools, and the PE team.

Coach Core’s vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.

Overarching Responsibility

To prepare, deliver and evaluate well-structured and progressive physical activity
sessions programmes ensuring a high quality, enjoyable experience centred
around the needs of the participants.

- Delivering interactive and high-quality lessons, lunchtime clubs, and after-school clubs through thorough planning and preparation.
- Being professional in your interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and schools.
- Safeguarding the children.
- Teaching relevant skills, progressions, and techniques.
- Making sure health and safety procedures are being followed by all members

What your apprenticeship includes:
- A mixture of face to face and remote catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks
- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer
- Feedback sessions to discuss progress
- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don’t already have GCSE or equivalents)

- Passion for physical activity - Previous knowledge of different sports - Caring and nurturing person - Ability to listen & take on board feedback

Qualifications required

- Ability to obtain a clean DBS

No other formal qualifications required (training can be offered when appointed)

Future prospects

Stepping in to a full-time coaching position within our organisation, further opportunties to develop into a role with additional responsibilities
