Lancaster District Community & Voluntary Solutions
We're looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our friendly team and provide essential administration support. You'll help to keep the office running, support meetings, gather information, and assist at events.

- Update and maintain a database of members and contacts
- Contribute to the publication of weekly newsletters
- Help to prepare meetings including setting dates, sending agendas and taking minutes
- Support colleagues to gather key information for reports
- Attend events alongside colleagues and help in setting up and packing away
- Greet visitors and deal with enquiries face-to-face, by email and over the phone.
- Maintain electronic and paper filing
- Support the office environment and keep supplies up-to-date
- Any other related duties

What your apprenticeship includes:
- A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks
- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer
- Feedback sessions to discuss progress
- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don’t already have GCSE or equivalents)
- 30 hours paid work every week

At LDCVS you will be working towards a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.

Qualifications required

- English and maths at GCSE C or above (or equivalent qualification)

Future prospects

This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with a foundation in business administration through hands-on experience. Upon completion you may have the opportunity to access a permanent administration role in our organisation, to learn further in another specialist area such as finance, communications or project management, or to advance to a higher level of apprenticeship or qualification. We'll work with you to explore the right next steps.
